Bio
Anna Eyink is a violinist, violist, and fiddle player specializing in commercial work and teaching.
Originally from Franklin, Ohio, she currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee, where she regularly performs, records, and teaches private lessons.

Performance
With a love for weddings and private events, Anna regularly performs as a solo and chamber musician in the Nashville area. She has extensive classical and contemporary chamber ensemble experience. During both years of her graduate studies, she played violin and viola in Belmont's Jazz String Quartet, and she was in the first violin section all four years of her undergraduate degree. Currently, Anna is the principal violist in the Two Rivers Orchestra in Donelson, Tennessee.

Artistic Work
With a diverse musical background, Anna's style is based in versatility. She actively records covers in various genres, ranging from cinematic to metal. Her latest project is an EP of various fiddling tunes and styles, tracing the evolution of regional-specific techniques from the British Isles to North America.
Teaching
As the daughter of two music teachers, it is no surprise that Anna developed a strong passion for music education. Before teaching privately, she was an active instructor and assistant at Bowling Green State University's Summer Music Institute, as well as the Intro to Alternative Strings summer course in Centerville, Ohio. While attending Belmont University, she was a Music Fundamentals teaching assistant. Additionally, she spent time outside of Belmont assisting with the Nashville Symphony's Metro Nashville Public Schools String Residency Program. She is currently trained in the Suzuki Method for Violin and Viola Book 1.


Arranging
Anna has arranged for ensembles of various sizes and instrumentation, including string quartets, jazz band, and full orchestra. Most recently, she has arranged orchestral versions of Celtic fiddle tunes for fiddler Gerry O'Connor. She also has substantial experience in transcription, most notably with the Trio Tribute Performance at the Musicians Against Childhood Cancer, where she transcribed the string, piano, and accordion parts from the Trio records.
Session Work
As a session musician, Anna has performed with Lindsey Stirling, Josh Groban, Jo Dee Messina, Rhonda Vincent, Tommee Profitt, Neal Morse, Gina Claire Mason, Skylar Grey, Jordan Smith, and Natalie Layne, among many others. She has recorded for artists such as J4, Aelle, Mark Lynn Young, and Sean Caramore.

Education
Anna began studying violin at the age of seven under the instruction of Mary Poeppelmeier. She continued her studies with Maretta Alden, with whom she graduated from the Suzuki Method. During high school, she was a member of the Dayton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, performing under the instruction of Dr. Patrick Reynolds. Anna received a Bachelor of Music in violin performance from Bowling Green State University in 2020. Her undergraduate private studies were with Dr. Penny Thompson Kruse. As a member of the BGSU Philharmonia, she studied under Dr. Emily Freeman Brown. Anna received a Master of Music in Commercial Performance from Belmont University in 2022, studying fiddle privately with Dr. Ryan Joseph. In addition, she also studied with Tracy Silverman, Paul Nelson, Billy Contreras, and Dr. Bruce Dudley.
